Inglewood/Sid Davis Trivia
I grew up in Inglewood during the period Sid Davis produced these education films; I was even a kid extra in one of them. He did them on a shoestring budget of just $1,000 per film. He usually asked off-duty police officers to act in them, as well. Perhaps that's why most are wearing sunglasses. The city sure has changed since the 1950's and 1960's when most of these were made; as our entire society has, I guess. It's great to see the old streets, clean yards and courteous people.
One last note - did you catch the narrator? It was Virginia Greg of radio and television fame; especially of Jack Webb's, Dragnet & Adam-12.

I'm the first person to review this?!
I don't think I've run across many films that Spuzz hasn't reviewed yet, and even fewer with no reviews at all. So I'll give this my best shot.
1. The children of Inglewood, CA prove again to be great stunt-kids. There are many shots of "kids in peril" for those of you that like that.
2. I'm not a Sid Davis expert, but it seems like most strangers in his films wear sunglasses. There's one in this film.
3. Bill and Betty, the example "A-walkers" in this film, might be robots.
4. There was a female narrator-- pretty rare for a film of this time. It makes sense to have a woman's voice for talking to children. I'm surprised it wasn't done more often.
5. Fairly good film, all in all, it wasn't too long.
